Hamburg Housing Search

An operator-managed assistant for organizing apartment searches, applications and viewing responses in Hamburg.

This site explains the Housing Search application and its use of Gmail. It is separate from the ONYX trading products. These pages contain no mailbox sign-in form, payment flow or document upload.

What the application does

Collects apartment offers from configured sources and search-alert emails, and compares them with the applicant’s confirmed preferences.
Tracks authorized applications and matches confirmation messages, refusals, requests for information and viewing invitations to the correct apartment.
Can send authorized application emails and responses, including viewing confirmations when the configured conditions and availability checks are satisfied.
Sends housing-status notifications to the user’s configured Telegram chat.

Why it connects to Gmail

The private worker connects to the authorized Gmail account through Google OAuth, IMAP and SMTP. It reads Inbox and configured Spam/Junk messages, stores parsed message information and uses it to track housing correspondence. It can send email on the user’s behalf when sending is enabled and authorized.

Read before connecting. The current IMAP/SMTP connection requests https://mail.google.com/. Google describes this as permission to read, compose, send and permanently delete all Gmail mail. The application uses reading and authorized sending; it does not implement Gmail-message deletion. Its importer can also retain unrelated messages from monitored folders. Scope and availability

This is a limited, operator-managed personal deployment, not an open public service. Account connection is arranged separately with the authorized account owner. Site publication does not imply Google verification, uninterrupted access, automatic support for every rental platform, or a guarantee of a viewing or apartment.
